Teresas Delfino

Happy birthday to Portuguese middle-distance talent Teresa Delfino, who has been showing encouraging progress across both the 400 and 800m. Teresa ran an indoor 800m best of 2:13.41 this winter, lowered her 400m mark to 57.78 and helped Sporting win the 4x400m at the Taça de Portugal in 3:45.50. She already owns a national title and represented Portugal at the European U18 Championships, experiences that should prove invaluable as she moves fully into the U20 ranks. The ability to contribute in an individual middle-distance race and then return for relay duty is exactly the kind of versatility every club values.
