Rocío Arroyo
Happy birthday to Spanish middle-distance sensation Rocío Arroyo, whose event classification needs a serious update. Rocío smashed through two minutes indoors this year, running 1:59.97 over 800m, and also lowered her indoor 400m best to 52.80. She now owns sub-two-minute 800m performances both indoors and outdoors, two European U23 silver medals and a place among the world’s top young two-lap runners.
