Paloma Feito
Happy birthday to Argentina’s Paloma Feito, a 100m hurdler who has spent the last year taking real chunks out of her own personal bests.
This April, Paloma ran a 100m hurdles personal best of 14.38, and on the same weekend lowered her flat 100m best to 12.65 as well — two events, two improvements, in a single meet. That kind of simultaneous progress across the hurdles and the flat sprint says something real: the speed underneath her hurdling is climbing at the same rate as her technique over the barriers, which is exactly the combination that tends to produce the next big jump in a young hurdler’s times. She has already carried that speed onto the international stage too, representing Argentina at the South American U18 Championships and the Ibero-American U20 Championships in Peru.
Ten barriers, thirteen seconds, and a season of personal bests to show for it. Paloma is exactly where a hurdler wants to be: getting faster in both directions at once.
¡Feliz cumple, Paloma! Que este año pases por encima de todas las vallas — en la pista y fuera de ella. 🎂🎁🎉🫶🫶🇦🇷
