🇳🇱 TEAM NETHERLANDS, DAY 1 AT THE WORLD U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN EUGENE

Emma Le Blansch is in the World U20 discus final. 52.98m in qualifying, fifth in her group and one of the twelve women to make it through a round where the automatic standard was 55.00m. A Dutch thrower in a global final is a proper day’s work, and throwers earn every centimetre of it.

Quinty Keijsers cleared 3.80m in the pole vault, competing in a qualifying round where the entire field bunched inside thirty centimetres of each other.

Maud de Jong ran 2:09.16 in heat 5 of the 800m, taking on a round that produced some of the fastest U20 middle distance running anywhere this season. Felicia Felter (@feliciafelter) was on the long jump runway in group A.
