Happy birthday to Icelandic long-jump star Birna Kristín Kristjánsdóttir, a three-time national champion, two-time indoor champion and owner of a 6.46m national U23 record. That performance also made her the second-farthest female long jumper in Icelandic history. In a country of fewer than 400,000 people, Birna has climbed astonishingly close to the very top of the all-time list.
