Happy birthday to Denmark’s Annika Haldbo, currently ranked #99 in the world in the 100m hurdles off a personal best set this spring.

Annika lowered her 100m hurdles best to 12.96 this past May, cracking the world’s top 100 in the event — a real marker of where she now sits globally. She’s built that off a broad technical base too, with a 60m hurdles best of 8.15 and range into the flat sprints and even the long jump. Being inside the top 100 in the world in the hurdles, with a personal best still just two months old, is exactly the kind of position that tends to keep moving in the right direction.
