Alexis Brown

Happy birthday to American sprint sensation Alexis Brown, whose first Division I season has been nothing short of extraordinary. Alexis arrived at South Carolina as an eight-time NCAA Division II champion and immediately proved that her dominance would translate to the highest level of collegiate competition. She was named the SEC Indoor Co-Newcomer Runner of the Year, became an NCAA Division I All-American indoors and outdoors and ran 22.54 over 200m during the outdoor season. Alexis also helped South Carolina shatter its 4x100m program record with a 42.32 performance at the NCAA East First Round. She did not merely move up a division. She stepped into the SEC and became one of its most accomplished sprinters almost immediately.
