Ada GüRkan

Happy birthday to Turkish sprint talent Ada Gürkan, who has already experienced the feeling of becoming a national age-group champion. Ada won the Turkish U18 200m title and took bronze over 100m in 2023, demonstrating both straight-line acceleration and the ability to carry her speed around the bend.

She has continued broadening her range, running 12.25 over 100m and competing indoors over 200 and 400m. That expansion is valuable for a young sprinter. The shorter races sharpen acceleration, while the 400m teaches strength, patience and how to remain technically composed under fatigue. Ada is still discovering where her greatest potential lies, but every event she has attempted is adding something useful to the athlete she is becoming.
