Happy birthday to Vielka Arias, the top-ranked pole vaulter in Costa Rica. We love to highlight vaulters from smaller countries because it’s such a demanding and unique event that requires specialized and rare coaching and resources that are often hard to find in smaller places. Vielka was out for 2025 but on her return matched her 2024 best at 3.50 and is ready for a run at her PB of 3.75. Can she do it? We believe she can. ¡Feliz cumpleaños y vamos Vielka! 🎂🎁🎉🫶🫶
