Aureja Beniusyte

Happy birthday to Lithuania’s triple jumper Aureja Beniusyte, who last August put together the best jump of her life on home ground.

Aureja went 13.35m in Kaunas in August 2025, a personal best that has her ranked inside the world’s top 160 in the event. The triple jump is unforgiving arithmetic: three phases, each one entirely dependent on the last, and a few centimetres lost at the board compound all the way to the sand. A lifetime best is never one improvement. It is three separate small things finally arriving in the same jump on the same day.

she is right at the point where a triple jumper’s numbers usually start to move fastest, with a career best already set on her own ground and a full senior career ahead of her. The next few seasons should be very good ones to watch.
