Happy birthday to Slovak quarter-mile sensation Lenka Gymerská, who began 2026 by immediately rewriting the record book. Lenka ran 54.45 indoors in Ostrava, taking more than half a second off her own Slovak U20 record. That followed an outdoor breakthrough to 53.34 last summer and a European U20 final, so the trajectory here is not difficult to identify. It is pointed directly forward.
