Kaja Wesolowska

Happy birthday to Polish hurdles star Kaja Wesołowska, who has made 2026 the fastest year of her career. Kaja lowered her indoor personal best to 8.10 at the Copernicus Cup, holding her own in a field filled with global medalists, then carried that progress outdoors with performances of 13.24 and 13.16 over the 100m hurdles.

Breaking through at 24 after years of national-level competition is a particularly satisfying kind of achievement. It reflects not only talent but the ability to keep refining starts, stride patterns and barrier clearance long after the early developmental years are over. Kaja has not merely stayed in the sport. She has continued becoming better at it, and she enters 25 running faster than ever before.
