Havana Allistone Greaves

Happy birthday to Spain’s Havana Allistone Greaves, a rare athlete who competes seriously in both the 400m hurdles and the 800m — an unusual and demanding dual that requires genuinely different technical skill sets, different energy systems, and above-average nerve.

Havana was born and trained in London before choosing to represent Spain in March 2023, and now splits her time between London and Valencia. In the 2025 outdoor season she ran a personal best of 2:05.10 for 800m in Ordizia, and then in January 2026 came back indoors in Salamanca to run 2:05.30 for the short track 800m — both under 2:06, both showing an athlete whose strongest running is still accumulating. Her 400m hurdles personal best of 59.18, set in 2023 in Tarragona, puts her comfortably under the one-minute barrier in one of track’s most technical events.

The combination of a sub-60 400m hurdles and a sub-2:06 800m in the same competitive career is genuinely uncommon. Havana is building something interesting.
