Eighteen is a real line in the sand in this sport — the last birthday in the youth ranks before the U20 level, where the competition gets deeper and the marks get harder to move. Sofia is crossing that line with real momentum behind her: her discus PB came just this April, and she also carries a shot put best of 11.70m from last year’s indoor season.
