A national U20 record and a World Championships final, on day one.

Isabella Hurtado and Sara Manuela Cuesta (@cuestaa22._) ran their legs of the mixed 4x400m relay as Colombia clocked 3:22.14 in the heats, a Colombian U20 record and a qualifying spot. Both of them went again in the evening final, finishing eighth in 3:24.02. Setting a national record and then contesting a global final a few hours later is a day these two will be telling people about for a long time.

Emily Roman (emi_roman5) ran 11.85 in her 100m heat at her first World U20 Championships, and Luna Brigitte Pabon was part of the pole vault field.
