🇬🇧 TEAM GB, DAY 1 AT THE WORLD U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN EUGENE

A British U20 record in the mixed 4x400m relay final. Shiloh Omotosho and Camiah Bennett ran their legs as GB finished fifth in 3:20.50, taking down the British U20 mark in a World Championships final. Caitlin Hadfield and Noa Chodokufa had put the team there in the morning, winning heat 1 in a season best 3:21.27. Four British women involved across the day, and the national record is theirs now.

Daisy Snell is in the long jump final, and she qualified with the fourth best mark of the entire round, 6.21m (+1.9). She goes into that final with real momentum.

Shaikira King (@shaikiraking1) won her 800m heat outright in 2:06.02, the eighth fastest time of the round and a heat victory at a World Championships.

Lily Bradley (@lily.bradleyyy) made the 100m semi-finals, running 11.63 in the heat and 11.63 again in the semi. Identical to the hundredth in both rounds, which is the kind of consistency coaches spend years building.
